When it comes to Hotels, I should say that both Vila Galé Tavira and Vila Galé Albacora are excellent choices. While the first one is more close to the city centre, the latter is a bit far if you don’t have your own means of transportation. Nevertheless there is another excellent choice and somewhat more expensive and luxurious, Hotel Pousada Convento da Graça; this one right inside the historic walls of Tavira and will give you easy access to the city centre and all amenities.

If you prefer Guest Houses, I personally recommend Quinta do Caracol which has a beautiful garden, tennis courts and it’s composed of cozy carachteristic individual apartments.

Usually the popular picks are Serviced Apartments, but these you can find them mostly outside of Tavira and in the surrounding Parishes like Pedras da Rainha in Cabanas de Tavira, Pedras d’El Rei in Santa Luzia (very near to Barril beach).
