Tavira Golf Courses
Golf courses and clubs are fairly recent in the Eastern Algarve Region, the first Golf course in Tavira (Benamor Golf) was officially inaugurated in March 2000 and was designed by Sir Henry Cotton as a 18-hole course. Sir Henry was inspired by the traditional church next to the Clubhouse and by its peculiar location. In the Algarve Guide website you can get a broader list of Algarve Golf courses.

Benamor Golf Course
Located around 7Km East of Tavira, Benamor opened in the spring of 2000. Designed by Sir Henry Cotton, the course has 18 holes, 5,500m and PAR 71. Maximum handicap authorized: Men: 28 – Ladies: 36

Quinta da Ria Golf Course
This spectacular 18 hole golf course is in the Ria Formosa Natural Park and spreads along an almost flat surface of 660.000 m2 down to the Ria Formosa itself, hanging over it and with a stunning view of the sea.

Quinta de Cima Golf Course
Eighteen holes skilfully scattered by an area of 620.000 m2, the Cima Course show themselves very competitive with dog-legs to the right and to the left and greens well protected by sand hazards and lakes, particularly holes 16, 17 and 18.
